Tasmanian born with Irish roots, Samuel J. Halpin’s first novel The Peculiar Peggs of Riddling Woods was released by Usborne in 2019 and went on to be published in French, Italian, Russian, Swedish, Dutch and Polish. His second novel The Midnight Switch was published in October 2023, also with Usborne. Samuel’s writing is an answer to a childhood raised on dark tales of the Tasmanian wilds and being number five of seven children.
Across his career in Production and Visual Effects he’s worked on a wide array of projects for networks and streamers including Amazon, BBC, Netflix and MGM. He currently lives in Sydney with his husband, Wojtek.
