Originally from South Africa, Marilize holds a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing. Now based in Hampshire, UK, she spends her time writing young adult and adult fantasy books, often balanced with long countryside walks alongside her hyperactive Cocker Spaniel. When she’s not immersed in fictional worlds, you’ll likely find her indulging a growing candle obsession or enjoying a perfectly brewed cup of coffee.
Her debut YA fantasy, A Wish So Deadly, was published in March 2026 by Scholastic UK; its sequel, A Wish So Fateful, is currently slated for March 2027.
