Joshua Piercey grew up in the unchanging wastes of the home counties and in apparent response has subsequently been a bookseller, a chef, a scuba diver, a copywriter – he once wrote a Black Friday marketing email that led to the CEO of one of Britain’s largest retail chains to call for his personal dismissal – a charitable fundraiser, and various other bungled professions. He is now a gardener and environmental activist based in Margate. He builds new community gardens when funding is available and petitions, supplicates, and browbeats for that funding when it is not. He has an MA in Prose from UEA.
