Iona David is the 23-year-old creator of @beam_me_up_softboi, an Instagram page where anonymous text messages sent by men are gently ridiculed. The page has been featured in The Guardian, Dazed, The Daily Mail, i-D and many more. Iona writes about the internet, dating and cultural trends for various publications and for her substack newsletter. Her first book Is This Love Or Dopamine? is to be published by Mudlark in July ’22. She lives in Manchester with her cat Joey.
