Harleen’s journey in media started young – at just 14, she stepped into the world of modelling before getting her first taste of TV as a contributor on Britain’s Next Top Model in 2010. A decade later, she pivoted into content creation, producing bold and meaningful work for BBC’s The Social, with a focus on health, wellness, and shining a light on voices from the South Asian diaspora.
She quickly found her place behind the camera, rising through the editorial ranks to become an Assistant Producer. Her breakout moment came on the BAFTA-winning series Scam Interceptors, where her investigative skills and knack for languages were key to taking down scammers around the world – whether translating in high stakes doorsteps or helping craft intricate scambaiting stings.
Harleen stepped in front of the camera for the first time, presenting Channel 4’s UNTOLD: The £12 Million Rental Scam – a debut that earned her a Debut Presenter nomination at the Edinburgh TV Festival’s Amplify x New Voice Awards 2024 as well as, Best Investigation at the Asian Media Awards 2025.
Most recently, it was confirmed that Harleen is the new host of BBC Asian Network’s The Everyday Hustle, where she brings her signature warmth and clarity to conversations about business, mental wellbeing and the hustle of everyday life. She’s also set to co-host the upcoming second series of the podcast Scam Clinic – launching at the end of this year – alongside her friend and Scam Interceptors colleague, Nick Stapleton.
Known for her empathetic style and ability to make complex topics accessible, Harleen has become a trusted voice on consumer fraud, appearing on shows like Steph’s Packed Lunch, Morning Live, and across BBC platforms worldwide.
