Adanna is a British-West African writer based in Glasgow. She’s been writing for as long as she’s been reading and has a particular love for queer fiction centering Black and African protagonists. She was a mentee in the 2021 All Stories program and won second prize for text in the 2022 FAB Prize. Adanna is currently working on her debut novel: GUM is a young adult novel about friendship, first love, and family secrets, for fans of Rise To The Sun and Love Is A Revolution. Nellie’s best friend Gum is missing from their quiet suburb but when he sends her a cryptic clue, she sets off on a revelatory cross-country road trip to find him along with her ex-crush and Gum’s girlfriend — who she just so happens to be in love with.
