A publisher for over thirty years, he was Editorial Director of Picador, and then Chief Editor of Penguin. After a gap of ten years when he wrote his first three novels, he was asked by Ian Chapman to help develop the UK arm of Simon and Schuster.
He now works for Peter Fraser and Dunlop in an editorial capacity. He has enormous editorial experience, working with authors such as Salman Rushdie, Graham Swift and Hilary Mantel. Tim Binding has co-written a number of books, most notably Dead Aid by Dambisa Moyo, sold in 12 countries and a New York Times bestseller, her second book How The West Was Lost sold in 7 countries and on the Canadian Best Seller List, and most recently Gone, by violinist Min Kim, published by Viking Penguin in the UK and Random House in the US.
