Simran is an author of non-fiction and has published two books, both relating to the global Indian diaspora to which she belongs. Her book, Searching for Home, was longlisted for India’s Prabha Khaitan Woman’s Voice Award in 2019. Her writing has also appeared in the Guardian, Washingtonian, and Elle.
Simran grew up in Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC. She studied journalism at George Washington University and worked at National Geographic for years before moving to London in 2010. She completed her master’s degree in creative non-fiction at City University.
Simran is writing a memoir about her bewildering experience of infertility as an Indian-American woman living in London.
