Paul “Piglet” Middleton is a renowned British steam locomotive engineer, television personality, and the Director of Mechanical Engineering at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR). Known for appearing on Channel 5’s The Big Steam Adventure, The Yorkshire Steam Railway: All Aboard, and starring in Channel 4’s Steam Train Diaries, he is a prominent figure in heritage railway preservation.
Piglet started work at the NYMR in December 1996, at the tender age of 16, and has worked there ever since. The railway runs for 24 miles through some of Britain’s most beautiful scenery, from Pickering up to Whitby, a stretch of gorgeous moorland that Piglet is lucky to call home. He
