Niraj Shukla is a writer, teacher, and amateur pianist. He grew up in Pinner in North-West London, and studied Economics and Philosophy at the University of Nottingham. Outside of writing and playing the piano, he is a cinephile, with a particular interest in Béla Tarr, whose films have influenced his writing.
