Mikael S. Adolphson

Mikael S. Adolphson is the Keidanren Professor and Chair of Japanese Studies at the University of Cambridge. With over three decades of experience studying, teaching, and writing about Japan, he is one of the world’s foremost specialists of premodern Japanese society and culture. He has written several academic books, edited inter-disciplinary volumes, and made substantial contributions to the growth of Japanese Studies in the UK and North America.
