Jenny Barker was born in Bradford, where she discovered an early love of storytelling. Now based in London, she works as a primary school teacher alongside writing for young adults. She loves imagining new worlds while also deeply exploring our own.
In 2024, she completed her MA in Children’s Literature and Creative Writing at Goldsmiths, University of London. She is a member of the 2025-2026 London Library Emerging Writers Programme.
When she isn’t writing, you’re likely to find her crocheting, at a football match, or sampling sweet treats across South London’s many bakeries.
