Prof James T. Palmer is Professor of Medieval History at the University of St Andrews. He is a leading expert on early medieval religion and culture in Europe and the wider world. His academic publications include The Apocalypse in the Early Middle Ages, published in 2014 by CUP. He has appeared on BBC Radio and written for History Today.
The Carolingians will be his first narrative book for the trade.
