Ilana Kelley grew up in Germany and Japan with her nose firmly rooted in a book, usually one steeped in magic and intrigue. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from New York University. She has lived on both coasts of the United States, but currently resides in a beach town in central Florida. After over a decade in finance, she followed her lifelong dream of becoming a writer. Her enduring interest in the intricacies of platonic and romantic relationships, the complex definition of morality, and the creation of worlds that highlight both the differences and the similarities to our own has driven the recurring themes in her works.
When she’s not writing, her days are spent with her loving husband, wrangling two feral children, training a young thoroughbred mare, giving haircuts to reluctant rams, and haltering stubborn donkeys.
