Gabrielle Johnson is a writer and editor based in Sheffield. Their work has been published with Cipher Press and performed at the LGBT+ Lit Fest, with fourteenpoems magazine and by acclaimed actress Maxine Peake as the winning entry of the 2021 Morrab Library Short Story Competition. They received the Highly Commended 2022 Moniack Mhor Bridge Award, a 2021 London Writers’ Award and a Special Mention in the 2021 Life Writing Prize. They have been longlisted for the 2023 Queen Mary Wasafiri New Writing Prize, appeared on the 2022 Brick Lane Bookshop Short Story Prize ‘Long-Long list’, and selected to receive mentoring from Extra Teeth editor and author Heather Parry. They are the co-founder and editor of clavmag, an LGBT+ literary magazine, and are currently working on their debut novel.
