Born in 1989, Courtney Lawes is an English professional rugby union player. After spending 17 years at Northampton Saints, Lawes left the club for CA Brive, where he currently plays as a flanker. In his last game for the Northampton Saints, Courtney Lawes captained the club to their second English Premiership title. This cemented Lawes’ status as an all-time great for club and country.
Lawes captained England for the first time in a game against Tonga on November 6, 2021. Following the 2023 World Cup, Lawes retired from international rugby with 105 England caps. On the 29th of April 2024, Courtney Lawes was inducted into the Rugby Players’ Association Hall of Fame.
