Annabel Durant-Rogers

Author

Annabel Durant-Rogers is a fiction writer from the UK. Now based in London, she recently graduated with a master’s degree in American Studies from Oxford, with a focus on temporality in American fiction and the queer underside to the American project. Her literary speculative work draws on her love of the gothic, queer cowboys, and all things 80s. She won the Oxford Review of Books Short Fiction Competition with her eldritch folk horror short story ‘The Ancient News of the World’ and the Monica Ali Creative Writing Award for ‘Sticky’, a psychological short story rooted in class dynamics. She was also highly commended in the Queer Intersections Oxford Essay Prize for her work examining the archival drafts of ‘Brokeback Mountain’. Away from her desk, she enjoys graphic design, reviewing movies, and curating the endless musical soundtrack to her life.
