Adam Barrett is a working-class novelist and poet from North East England. His in-progress debut novel was awarded the Sid Chaplin Award at the Northern Writers’ Awards, and his debut poetry pamphlet was published by Broken Sleep Books in August 2025. Adam’s poetry and fiction has examined class, heritage, masculinity, landscape and history.
He is a former teacher and holds an MA in English literature.
