We are delighted to announce that DOPE GIRLS, inspired by Marek Kohn’s book of the same name, will be airing on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 9.15pm on February 22nd. Bad Wolf produced the series in association with Sony Pictures Television. The series is created and written by Polly Stenham (JULIE, THAT FACE) and Alex Warren (ELEANOR).
DOPE GIRLS is set after the losses of World War One, when the streets of Soho were home to female gangs running the clubs, drugs and moonshine.
The series will star Julianne Nicholson (MARE OF EASTTOWN) as a single mother who sets up a nightclub and Eliza Scanlen (LITTLE WOMEN) as an undercover police officer.
