Edna O’Brien’s ‘Girl’ longlisted for the Orwell Foundation Prize for Political Fiction

Edna O’ Brien’s novel ‘Girl’ has been longlisted for The Orwell Prize for Political Fiction. The Orwell Prizes strive to encourage political thinking in writing, in various ways and forms.

This marks another longlist nomination for O’Brien’s novel, alongside the 2020 Women’s Prize for Fiction.

The current list of 13 books will be narrowed to a shortlist in mid-May.
