After completing her Classics degree and a year working in a museum, Phoebe trained as a teacher at King’s College, London, towards an MA in Education. Phoebe then taught for eight rewarding years in secondary schools in the UK and in Paris, France. While her first love and main subject is Classics, she also delighted in teaching English Language and Literature. Her French mother and Irish father have given her a colourful outlook, and from a young age Phoebe read voraciously and wrote for pleasure. In order to refine her craft, Phoebe decided to give up the classroom to focus on her writing, attending creative writing courses in London and in Los Angeles. One of her short stories, ‘Photographs’ won an Honourable Mention with Glimmer Train Press in the US in 2018. ‘Madam’ is her debut novel.
