By seven years old Lindsay Hirst knew that she wanted to be a teacher, and by the time she was nine she knew that she wanted to write children’s books. She went on to study Psychology and Philosophy at Edinburgh University and then, a few years later, completed a Postgraduate Degree in Primary Education. Lindsay’s love of literacy in the Early Years reignited her passion to write, and she’s been doing it ever since.
Lindsay was shortlisted in the Write Mentor Children’s Novel and Picture Book Awards for 2021, and she has also recently graduated from the Golden Egg Picture Book Course.
She loved growing up in idyllic Perthshire, and has now returned there to live with her husband and two young children.
