Ibe Rossel is among Belgium’s most promising young writers and essayists. She is the author of On Brothers: A Sisterly Reflection on Fraternal Violence, published to critical acclaim by Das Mag in 2026.She studied English literature in Amsterdam and began writing at an early age: by the age of eleven, she was already a successful blogger. At twenty-one, she made her literary debut with Shakespeare kent me beter dan mijn lief (Shakespeare Knows Me Better Than My Lover), a personal exploration of life lessons drawn from the classics of world literature. She has written a column for De Standaard and is currently working on a novel. She lives in Ghent, Belgium.
