Eddie Loodmer-Elliott is a London-based screenwriter. After studying scriptwriting at the University of Warwick, he trained as a professional actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School – a dual foundation that continues to inform his instinct for character and dialogue. He believes the most extraordinary stories are always rooted in lived experience: that even at their most outlandish, the very best drama rarely beats what real life itself has already delivered.

His debut play, Outside, which anticipated a national lock down two years before the pandemic, won the Pleasance Futures Award in 2018, signalling the emergence of a distinctive new theatrical voice. It was swiftly followed by FIJI, a co-production between the Pleasance Theatre and Omnibus Theatre, which premiered the following year to widespread critical acclaim before touring the UK to sold-out audiences. The play continues to enjoy international productions, including in Italy, Norway and Canada.

His debut television series is currently in development and away from his desk, Eddie is devoted to both dogs and football – enduring passions that remind him, the best stories are ultimately about commitment and heartbreak.
