David Hamilton is a horticulturist, forager and explorer. He is a regular contributor to national magazines and newspapers including The Guardian, Walk Magazine and Countryfile. He has recently completed Where the Wild Things Grow, a Foragers Guide to the Landscape, for Hodder and Stoughton which will be released in April 2021. The book explores wild foods available throughout different every nearly every conceivable landscape from moors, woodlands and the coast to town and city streets, local parks and even your own back garden.
Where the Wild Things Grow is David’s sixth book and follows his best-selling Wild Ruins series, Family Foraging and the Self-Sufficient-ish Bible which was also published by Hodder and Stoughton.
He teaches vegetable growing at the Botanic gardens in Bristol and leads a Guardian Masterclass on wild food. He has taught foraging to thousands of individuals, including Ben Fogle and Mary Berry.
