Cleo Watson’s Raunchy Political Novel ‘Whips’ is Set For TV Adaption by Andy Serkis’ Imaginarium

Jun 1, 2023

After a hotly-contested auction, Imaginarium Productions (owned by The Planet of the Apes star Andy Serkis) has won the rights to adapt Cleo Watson’s Whips.

At the peak of the pandemic, Watson served as former  Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Deputy Chief. Her debut novel takes us into the corridors of British parliament in a riotous and all too believable story on politics and Party people.  It’s a timely satire of modern government, laced with scandal and written with insight and verve.

The rights deal was done by our agent Rosie Gurtovoy.
